Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anheuser Busch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Trinidad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trinidad has chosen Eye of The Tiger as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anheuser Busch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Felix Trinidad!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trinidad throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Trinidad misses with a wild combination.
Trinidad is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

No joy there for Trinidad, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Busch changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Trinidad looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Trinidad is trying to escape the position but Busch is controlling the position.

Busch is trying to get an arm triangle but Trinidad is defending well.
Busch takes a little break here. Trinidad wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Busch works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Busch throws a strike aimed at the side of Trinidad's head but Trinidad avoids it well.
Busch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Busch has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Trinidad!
Trinidad really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Busch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Busch tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Trinidad is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Busch fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Busch takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Busch with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Busch controlling the pace for now.
Busch could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Busch in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Busch changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Trinidad looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Busch remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Anheuser Busch.
Trinidad throws a series of punches but Busch moves out of range.
Trinidad throws a right and a left that both miss.
Trinidad is breathing heavily.
Trinidad throws a right and a left that Busch avoids nicely.
Trinidad swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Busch closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Busch creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Trinidad sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Anheuser Busch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Busch is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Trinidad will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Busch decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Anheuser Busch has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
No joy there for Trinidad, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Felix Trinidad is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Busch bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Trinidad defending against the ground and pound.
Trinidad managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Busch.
Busch is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Trinidad takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Busch tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Busch fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Busch is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Trinidad's shoulder. That is not cool.
Busch sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Trinidad is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Busch has an Americana. Trinidad didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Busch is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Busch hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Anheuser Busch!
Our winner, Anheuser Busch, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Felix Trinidad was interviewed post fight and said 'I know I am not the best of fighters but am working on my ability I promise I will come back better and stronger.'.
