Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sans Pression - Numero 1. Bubba Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bubba Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Palmer!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Palmer circles away.
Gracie tries to clinch up

and Palmer counters with a shoot takedown. Gracie fights it but they end up in guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Palmer prevents Gracie from getting back to his feet.
Palmer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Palmer tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.
Palmer not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie wants to stand but Palmer is controlling the position.
Gracie trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Palmer is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Gracie wants to stand up but Palmer is controlling him.
Palmer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Palmer tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.
Gracie is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Palmer is controlling him.
Palmer is standing up over Gracie. Gracie looks to escape but Palmer dives into side control.

It looks like Palmer might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Gracie is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Palmer is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Palmer controls the position.
Gracie pushes Palmer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Palmer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Palmer working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Gracie wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Palmer happy to just control the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

and Palmer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Palmer.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Palmer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Palmer wants to work for an arm triangle but Gracie is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Well, if Palmer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Palmer in particular looking to stall.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Palmer.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

George Palmer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Palmer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice sprawl there from Gracie as Palmer shoots in.
Palmer closes the distance and clinches up with Gracie, looking for a takedown. Palmer pushes Gracie against the cage but Gracie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gracie stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gracie wants it to stay on the feet.
Bubba Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Palmer.

Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Palmer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Palmer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gracie wants to get back to his feet but Palmer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
No luck for Palmer with that takedown attempt.
Gracie tries to clinch but Palmer moves out of range.

Palmer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gracie napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The referee asks Palmer politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Palmer prefers to stall for the moment though.
The strikes coming from Palmer are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Palmer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Palmer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bubba Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Palmer blocks the strikes from Gracie.
Palmer is staying tight to Gracie's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Gracie striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

George Palmer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Palmer winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
