Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Myles Sheppard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jaba Kharabadze! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Sheppard leaning against his opponent.
Sheppard tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kharabadze just stands there and leans against the cage. Sheppard looking to slow down the pace here. Kharabadze wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sheppard has him pressed against the cage. Kharabadze gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kharabadze decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Kharabadze has managed to clinch.
Kharabadze is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sheppard can't fight it off and eventually Kharabadze manages to take the fight to the floor. Sheppard looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sheppard is trying to control the position but Kharabadze postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kharabadze content to stall in guard here. Kharabadze throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sheppard works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kharabadze slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jaba Kharabadze hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Kharabadze keeps the fight on the outside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kharabadze dives in and scores a takedown into Sheppard's guard. Sheppard trying to control the position.
Kharabadze slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Sheppard wants to sweep here but Kharabadze controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kharabadze slaps away a takedown attempt from Sheppard, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kharabadze looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kharabadze is taking a breather. Sheppard says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kharabadze stands up from half guard. Sheppard gets caught napping as Kharabadze dives in and scores a takedown. Sheppard manages to retain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kharabadze throwing strikes from guard but Sheppard blocks nicely. Kharabadze controlling from the top position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. It looks like Kharabadze might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jaba Kharabadze was stalling too much, according to the referee. Sheppard fails with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jaba Kharabadze dominated that round. That's time! Sheppard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Myles Sheppard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kharabadze darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Sheppard looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sheppard tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kharabadze is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Sheppard reverses the position - he's now on top in Kharabadze's guard. Kharabadze looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sheppard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kharabadze trying to strike off his back.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Kharabadze is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kharabadze wants to control but Sheppard is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kharabadze stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. A combination from Kharabadze does no damage. Kharabadze gets a takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kharabadze sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sheppard defending well though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kharabadze takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Kharabadze wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sheppard keeps working.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jaba Kharabadze was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kharabadze misses the shot to the body. Kharabadze clinches with his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kharabadze looks to throw an elbow but misses. Kharabadze tightens his grip and picks Sheppard up, before dumping him to the ground. Sheppard manages to land in guard. Kharabadze pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sheppard is keeping the position for now. Sheppard trying to control the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Kharabadze trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Sheppard manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kharabadze trying to keep a closed guard but Sheppard is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jaba Kharabadze showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

He has the arm isolated but Sheppard is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jaba Kharabadze has got the better of the ground game so far. Kharabadze sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Sheppard is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kharabadze throws a strike aimed at the side of Sheppard's head but Sheppard avoids it well. Kharabadze stands up and we're back to a striking position. Kharabadze stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kharabadze wants it to stay on the feet. Kharabadze gets a takedown into half guard. Sheppard is looking for a sweep. Kharabadze is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kharabadze wants to free his trapped foot but Sheppard is holding on for dear life with his legs. Sheppard is looking to control Kharabadze's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sheppard avoid being mounted? The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Kharabadze stalling.
Myles Sheppard has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Kharabadze leaves Sheppard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sheppard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Myles Sheppard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kharabadze feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kharabadze advances to half guard. Kharabadze gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Kharabadze gets a clinch. Kharabadze has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Sheppard jumps guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kharabadze is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that's the end of the fight! Jaba Kharabadze comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kharabadze has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jaba Kharabadze decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
