Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dario Dumic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dario Dumic is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bryce Bates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dario Dumic! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dumic lands a jab. Dumic closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bates did well to prevent Dumic getting side control. Bates is trying to get back to full guard. Bates pushes Dumic off looking to stand but Dumic dives back in and keeps control.
Dumic is working for a submission of some sort.
Dumic wants to take a breather but Bates is having none of it. Dumic seems to be working for a kimura but Bates defends the submission attempt. Dumic is trying to control the action in half guard but Bates is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dumic prevents Bates from improving his position. Dumic trying to control the pace. Bates is trying to get back to full guard. Dumic keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Dumic wants to take a breather but Bates is having none of it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Dario Dumic hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Dumic blocks a head kick by Bates.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dumic wants to take the fight to the mat but Bates manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Dumic has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bates after a bit of a struggle. Bates could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Dumic just leaning against Bates, taking a breather. Bates wants to break free but Dumic has control.
Bates pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dumic darts in looking for a takedown but Bates gets double underhooks and turns Dumic into the cage. Bryce Bates has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dario Dumic. Bates escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bates tries to clinch but Dumic is having none of it. Dumic has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Bates is landing a low percentage of strikes. Dumic sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Bates looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bates falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dumic counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Bates.
Bates is breathing heavily. Dumic circles away from the clinch attempt and Dumic counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dumic works his way into full mount! Dumic has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Bates is forced to tap!
