Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Pandarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filip Wera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Pandarian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Filip Wera! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pandarian dives in for a single leg takedown but Wera sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Wera is trying to pull guard but Pandarian turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Wera is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Pandarian to keep the fight standing. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Wera takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Wera breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wera tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pandarian defends well and Wera ends up having to push Pandarian into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. John Pandarian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Filip Wera. Wera changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pandarian fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Wera keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wera shoots in but no luck this time. Wera has a takedown stuffed. Wera looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pandarian is fending him off so far but Wera persists. Nope, Pandarian circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pandarian throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wera was covering up waiting for the punch and Pandarian finishes the takedown easily into guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Pandarian trying to control but Wera is working from the bottom. Wera looking to control.

Wera gets a clinch. Wera gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! It looks like Wera is going to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wera throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Pandarian really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wera blocks the strikes from Pandarian.
Wera is keen to just control but Pandarian is a slippery customer. Wera performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Pandarian manages to get to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pandarian looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wera drops back looking for a leg! Pandarian is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pandarian manages to kick Wera off! Wera jumps back into Pandarian's guard. Pandarian working a defensive guard here.

Pandarian on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pandarian tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pandarian has a closed guard, preventing Wera from standing up. Wera wants to control from the top but Pandarian keeps moving. Pandarian utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Wera trying to stand up but can't free himself from Pandarian's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pandarian is trying to control the position from the bottom.

A close round but Filip Wera will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Wera fails with the takedown. Wera shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pandarian as he jumps to the side. Pandarian has closed the distance and engaged Wera in a clinch.
Pandarian stalls. Wera pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pandarian closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wera quickly recovers to half guard. Wera is trying to stand back up but Pandarian is controlling him
Pandarian is trying to control the action in half guard but Wera is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Wera is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Pandarian wants to take a breather but Wera is having none of it. Wera is concentrating on defense, preventing Pandarian from advancing position. Pandarian is looking to take a break and control but Wera is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up because John Pandarian just wasn't active enough. Pandarian throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wera. Pandarian gets in close and instigates a clinch. Wera looking for a takedown. John Pandarian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Filip Wera. Wera gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Pandarian.

Pandarian tries to clinch but Wera moves out of range. Pandarian feints and as Wera raises his hands in defense, Pandarian changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. John Pandarian overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wera working a defensive guard here.
Wera is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Pandarian stands and throws Wera's legs to the side, diving into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wera is trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pandarian is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wera is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Wera struggling a bit here. Pandarian wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wera keeps working. Wera holding on. Wera is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wera is still trying to improve position. Pandarian works to advance to full mount. Wera defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Wera tries to hold on but Pandarian pushes him away. Wera is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Pandarian is staying active. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pandarian with good strikes from the mount here! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Pandarian dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Pandarian shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pandarian showed some decent athleticism there. Pandarian trying to control the action but Wera is working from the bottom. Wera actively working from the bottom here. Wera moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Pandarian has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wera is proving hard to escape from. Wera is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Pandarian is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wera knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Wera tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Wera tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pandarian wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Pandarian wants to control but Wera is keeping him busy. The referee asks Pandarian politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pandarian prefers to stall for the moment though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Wera's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Pandarian tries to advance to mount but can't. Wera wants to get back to his feet. Pandarian trying to control the position but Wera is working away. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Wera loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wera pushes down on Pandarian's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wera perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Pandarian has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wera is working away from the top position though. Wera controlling the action here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pandarian gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wera counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Pandarian! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wera tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Wera throws an elbow but Pandarian slips to the side and avoids it well.

Pandarian is looking to take a break and control but Wera is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pandarian sitting and controlling from the half guard. Pandarian tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wera knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - a gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Wera shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pandarian napping and manages to drive through into side control! Wera works to advance to full mount. Pandarian defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Pandarian holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Wera tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Wera takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Wera trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wera misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Pandarian sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Wera missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Wera seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wera misses with a head shot. Pandarian uses the momentum to regain guard. Wera trying to control but Pandarian is working from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pandarian has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wera has managed to get both his arms back between Pandarian's legs - danger averted.
And that's the end of the fight! Filip Wera comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Wera has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
