The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JOYCE feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
JOYCE wanted to stand there but Manhoef had control of the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
JOYCE wants to control from the top but Manhoef keeps moving.
JOYCE wants to get up but he can't break Manhoef's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Manhoef wants to sweep here but JOYCE controlling him for the moment.
Manhoef looking for a guillotine here but JOYCE defends easily.
JOYCE tries to stand but Manhoef is controlling from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
JOYCE throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

JOYCE tries to bum rush Manhoef with a series of wild strikes but Manhoef uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Manhoef shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Manhoef was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
JOYCE really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Manhoef has hold of JOYCE's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and JOYCE manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Manhoef takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

JOYCE knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Manhoef on the ground.

and Manhoef counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for JOYCE!

JOYCE scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Manhoef manages to mount him!

Manhoef fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
JOYCE on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if JOYCE tries to get out of the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Manhoef throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! JOYCE has his hands clasped together but Manhoef breaks the hold and JOYCE is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Manhoef!
