2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Oston! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mccallister shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Oston is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Oston wants to stand but Mccallister is controlling the position. Mccallister pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Oston is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are working up against the cage. Oston manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Mccallister breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mccallister has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mccallister gets a trip takedown into half guard. Mccallister is looking to advance position but Oston won't allow it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Oston moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oston looking to control.
Oston throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Oston keeping full guard, as Mccallister tries to pass. Oston preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Oston manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mccallister manages to get himself to full guard.
Mccallister is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Oston dives into side control.
Mccallister is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Oston is controlling him well. Mccallister is breathing heavily. Oston wants to control but Mccallister is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mccallister is looking to regain half guard here but Oston keeps moving and retains side control. Oston moves into full mount! Oston controlling the pace for now. Mccallister is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Oston is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Oston!
