The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richards looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Alfredsson!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Richards throws an elbow but Alfredsson slips to the side and avoids it well.
Richards in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
You can see the frustration on Alfredsson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Alfredsson tries to bench press Richards off him but Richards keeps the position.
Richards cracks Alfredsson with a big right hand but Alfredsson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Alfredsson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Richards lands a few punches from side control.
Alfredsson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alfredsson is looking for a sweep.

Richards throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Alfredsson taking punishment in the form of punches.

Alfredsson is rocked!
Richards lands a strong strike to the head of Alfredsson. That's dazed him! Richards looking to finish here. Alfredsson is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Richards lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

CJ Richards tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
