Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nino Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Galu Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Galu Li was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nino Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Galu Li!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Li swats away the attempt to clinch by Brown.
Li throws a head kick that misses.
Brown paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Brown misses with a right hand
and Li counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Li misses with a low kick.
Brown misses with a body shot
and Li counters with a nice body kick.
Brown bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Li's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown lands a body shot.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Li shows good takedown defense.
A looping hook to the body misses from Brown. Li does a little dance to reset his feet.
Brown throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Li moves away.
Brown lands with a hook. Li tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Li fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brown throws out a powerful jab.
Li uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brown.
Brown loads up on a big right hand but Li slips the punch.
Brown misses with an uppercut.
Brown swings for the body but Li moves out of range.
Brown is looking to clinch.
Brown shoots in but Li avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jab by Brown.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Li blocks a low kick nicely.
Li looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Brown is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Brown closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Li to the mat! Li manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Li can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brown controls the pace.
Li throws his legs up looking for a submission but Brown uses it to pass to side control.
Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Li keeps working.
Li is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brown lands a few punches from side control.
Brown advances to mount.
Li is looking to improve his position but Brown isn't that keen on the idea.
Brown raining down hammerfists from mount.
Li really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Brown lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Li hang on?
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Li is in all sorts of trouble here.
Brown pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Li is rocked!
Li is trying to escape the mount.
Brown loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Li scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Brown land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Brown stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nino Brown!
A relieved looking Nino Brown thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
