The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Irenicus.
Irenicus misses with a hook. Butcher ducked under it nicely.
Jon Irenicus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Butcher. Irenicus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Butcher throws a leg kick that misses.
Butcher takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Butcher uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Irenicus.
Irenicus lands a jab to the nose.
A jab from Butcher finds it's way through Irenicus's defenses.
It looks like Jon Irenicus has been cut.
Irenicus moves into range and connects with a jab.
Irenicus moves out of range as Butcher strikes.
Butcher throws a series of punches but Irenicus avoids them all with ease.
Irenicus is looking to score with low kicks.
Irenicus displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Butcher throws out the jab.
Irenicus moves away from the strike by Butcher.
Butcher swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Butcher throws a right hand that Irenicus ducks under and follows up with a left that Irenicus also avoids with ease.
Irenicus lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Irenicus takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Irenicus throws a solid leg kick but Butcher takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Irenicus.
Butcher misses with a looping left.
Butcher misses with a hook. Irenicus ducked under it nicely.
Irenicus connects with an inside leg kick.
A combination from Butcher does no damage.
The fighters circling - Butcher throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Irenicus, right into the meat.

Butcher misses with a series of wild punches.

Irenicus gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Butcher counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Irenicus jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Irenicus bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Butcher's head.
Irenicus misses with a few strikes there.
Irenicus throws a jab when Butcher was well out of range.
Irenicus connects with a solid leg kick.
Butcher lands a left and a right that send Irenicus crashing to the mat, dazed. Butcher thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Irenicus is rocked!
Butcher connects with a superb combination that knocks Irenicus out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Butcher before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Irenicus!

After winning the bout, Bobby Butcher thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
