Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Van Kirkland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zbermat Serlal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serlal has chosen Mortal Kombat as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Kirkland scores with a decent looking hook.
Serlal throws out a loose jab but Van Kirkland uses good head movement to avoid it.
Serlal stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Van Kirkland.
Van Kirkland takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Serlal lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Mikhail Van Kirkland has been cut.
Serlal swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Serlal has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Van Kirkland tries to land a leg kick but Serlal saw it coming and moves away.
Van Kirkland throws a body shot but no joy.
Serlal gets the takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Van Kirkland avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Serlal.
Serlal connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Van Kirkland some visible discomfort.

Van Kirkland is bucking up trying to escape but Serlal cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Jeez, Mikhail Van Kirkland's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
