Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nub Nodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nub Nodes! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nodes sprawls well initially but Alexander persists and gets the takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Alexander missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alexander winds up and cracks Nodes with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alexander is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nodes doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Alexander. Alexander will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Alexander looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Alexander sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Nodes defending well though. Nodes avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Alexander. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nodes is defending against the submission attempts here by Alexander.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexander landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Alexander sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Nodes defending well though. Alexander prevents Nodes from standing back up.
Alexander takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Nodes avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Alexander. Alexander lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! That's two minutes gone in the round. Alexander keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Alexander missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Nodes tries to kick Alexander off but Alexander keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Alexander not landing any meaningful shots this time. Alexander thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Alexander looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Alexander is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Alexander content to control rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander is looking for a kimura but Nodes is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Alexander to get the leverage. Alexander not landing any meaningful shots this time. Alexander throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Alexander working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well, if Alexander is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Alexander not landing any meaningful shots this time. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Alexander is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Paul Alexander dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Alexander shoots in for a takedown but Nodes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Alexander. Nodes stuffs the takedown attempt from Alexander. Alexander gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Alexander. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alexander shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nodes as he avoids it easily. Alexander throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nodes's waist but Nodes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alexander off to one side. Alexander seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Nice takedown defense from Nodes. No joy for Alexander on that attempt. Nodes fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nodes connects with a body shot. Alexander shoots in for a takedown but Nodes shows good takedown defense. Alexander takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nodes misses with a hook. Alexander closes the distance and clinches up with Nodes, looking for a takedown. Alexander pushes Nodes against the cage but Nodes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Alexander shoots in for a takedown but Nodes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nodes works Alexander's body with a nice hook. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A jab from Nodes misses. Nodes stuffs the takedown attempt from Alexander. Alexander gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alexander throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nodes's waist but Nodes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alexander off to one side. Nodes lands a nice shot to the body.

Alexander tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nodes swivels and escapes. Alexander closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Nodes is trying to stand back up but Alexander is controlling him
Nodes is refusing to be controlled, as Alexander sits in half guard. Paul Alexander overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander slows the pace down in half guard. Alexander looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Alexander misses with a head shot. Nodes uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alexander working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Nodes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alexander controls from within his opponent's guard. Alexander has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nub Nodes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Alexander slips a straight right by Nodes. A momentary lapse in concentration from Nodes enables Alexander to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nodes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Nodes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alexander. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Alexander with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Alexander drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Alexander seems to have locked his on tight now - Nodes screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Alexander, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Paul Alexander! Paul Alexander was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
