Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dickie Crash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy MacKenzie! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacKenzie explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Crash closes the distance but MacKenzie moves to the side and MacKenzie counters with a nice uppercut. Crash slips a jab and a cross from MacKenzie.
MacKenzie swings widly with a right hand
and Crash counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Crash lands a shoulder strike. Crash pushes off an throws an elbow but MacKenzie leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. MacKenzie tries to pull guard but Crash won't allow it.
We've been informed that MacKenzie has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. A body shot lands from MacKenzie.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Crash using the Thai plumb to throw knees but MacKenzie has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Crash has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. MacKenzie digs a right hand underneath Crash's ribcage. Crash let out a lung full of air as it connected. Both fighters working to control the clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Still in the clinch, Crash scores with a nice short uppercut. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

That was a close round but I would say that Dickie Crash will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Tommy MacKenzie's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

MacKenzie fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Crash has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. MacKenzie misses with a hook. Crash throws a body punch but MacKenzie moves out of range. Crash on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. MacKenzie thows a leg kick but Crash checks it and Crash counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. MacKenzie misses with a left hand and Crash makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Crash lands a big head kick that sends MacKenzie tumbling to the mat! Crash takes a step backwards and waves MacKenzie back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Crash lands a big head kick that sends MacKenzie tumbling to the mat! Crash takes a step backwards and waves MacKenzie back to his feet - he wants the finish! MacKenzie is still on wobbly legs! Can Crash finish him? Crash throws a front kick that sends MacKenzie stumbling back into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MacKenzie throws a body punch but Crash moves out of range. MacKenzie misses with a looping left. MacKenzie seems to have recovered his senses. MacKenzie misses with a wild body shot. Crash shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. MacKenzie misses with an uppercut. Crash throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Crash takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Crash avoids the head kick by MacKenzie.
MacKenzie throws an overhand right that lands on Crash's shoulder, as Crash tries to avoid the shot. Crash looks to land a right hand but MacKenzie moved out of range. Crash uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from MacKenzie. MacKenzie jabbing away but nothing is landing. Crash looks to score with a jab to the body but MacKenzie is just out of range. Dickie Crash is winning the standup battle so far. Crash ducks under a wild hook from MacKenzie.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big left from Crash misses. MacKenzie looks to land a left hand but Crash moved out of range nicely. A head kick misses from Crash. Dickie Crash is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Crash looks to land a left hand but MacKenzie moved out of range nicely. MacKenzie tries to land a front kick but Crash steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Crash scores with a jab to the body. Crash lands a really nice looking cross but MacKenzie seems unphased.

MacKenzie pivots, looking for a leg kick but Crash is out of range and MacKenzie settles back down. Crash fails with an attempt to clinch.
Crash is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that MacKenzie can do to turn this around? MacKenzie throws a low kick but Crash avoids it. MacKenzie tests Crash's chin there with a solid looking shot. A leg kick checked by MacKenzie. MacKenzie throws an off balance right hand
and Crash counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Crash misses with a head kick.
MacKenzie is looking to slow Crash down with leg kicks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MacKenzie misses with a looping right. Crash takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Crash throws a head kick that misses. MacKenzie rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Crash counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd cheers as MacKenzie lands an impressive looking overhand right. Crash doesn't seem phased though. A looping hook to the body misses from MacKenzie. Crash does a little dance to reset his feet. MacKenzie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Crash checks the leg kick. MacKenzie scores with the left hand. Crash knows he should have avoided that one. MacKenzie is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crash. Crash throws a head kick that misses and MacKenzie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Crash pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Crash uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by MacKenzie.
Crash misses with a hook. MacKenzie ducked under it nicely. MacKenzie avoids a lazy jab quite easily. MacKenzie's corner calls for a 1-2. MacKenzie obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Crash connects with a good right hand that stumbles MacKenzie. MacKenzie circles away out of range and recomposes himself. A slow jab from MacKenzie misses its intended target. MacKenzie ducks under a wild hook from Crash. Crash comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. MacKenzie walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Crash checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Sloppy strikes from Crash. Those never looked like landing. Crash throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck MacKenzie on the side of the head. Crash staying out of range there.

Well Crash has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
