Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
38 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivan ORourke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Stan Rivers!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ORourke throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A head kick misses from Rivers.
Rivers checks a leg kick.
ORourke tries to clinch there but Rivers circles away.
A slow jab from ORourke misses its intended target.
ORourke looks to land a body kick but Rivers moved away.
ORourke closes the distance but Rivers moves to the side
and Rivers counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. ORourke is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Oooooh!!! Rivers has knocked ORourke down with a huge combo! Rivers steps away and waves a wobbly ORourke back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
ORourke is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rivers looks to land a combination but ORourke avoids it well.
Oh ORourke is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
ORourke tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rivers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
ORourke wants to clinch
and Rivers counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! ORourke has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Stan Rivers!
