Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jaska Raatikainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Binse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raatikainen comes into the arena with Children of Bodom - Are you dead yet blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Binse! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raatikainen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
We've been told by Raatikainen's head coaches at Datsik's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Raatikainen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Binse has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Binse and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. The fight stays on the outside here - Binse looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Binse has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Binse thows a left - swing and a miss! Binse cracks the inside of Raatikainen's front leg. Binse throws a leg kick which misses Raatikainen's front leg but catches the back leg as Raatikainen tries to avoid it. Binse misses with a straight left. Binse uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Raatikainen.

Raatikainen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Binses jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A looping hook to the body misses from Binse. Raatikainen does a little dance to reset his feet. Binse moves into range and clinches up with Raatikainen. Binse misses with a body punch.

Binse lands a body shot. Raatikainen is trying to push Binse away but Binse has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A short right from Binse on the inside. Raatikainen blocks an uppercut.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Binse misses with a hook to the ribs.

Binse keeps control of Raatikainen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Raatikainen tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Binse's elbow. Raatikainen trying to land knees to the body.

Binse keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Raatikainen's efforts to push away. Binse lands with a light punch inside. Raatikainen looking to slow down the pace here. A nice right hand lands inside from Raatikainen. Raatikainen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A good leg kick by Binse. Binse goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Binse throws a low kick but it's checked well by Raatikainen. Binse throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Raatikainen blocks a leg kick. A momentary lapse in concentration from Raatikainen enables Binse to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Raatikainen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Binse avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Binse trying to control but Raatikainen is working from the bottom. Raatikainen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Raatikainen working a defensive guard here.

Binse connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Binse shoots in for a double leg but Raatikainen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Binse thuds a left hand into Raatikainen's body. Binse shoots in for a takedown but Raatikainen shows good takedown defense. Binse lands with a slapping head kick. Binse throws a leg kick but Raatikainen sees it coming and checks it nicely. Raatikainen lands an overhand right. Binse throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raatikainen throws out a leg kick but Binse moves out of range and Raatikainen only half commits. Binse tries to land a front kick but Raatikainen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Raatikainen checks a low kick from Binse. Raatikainen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Binse throws a leg kick so Raatikainen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Binse looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Binse preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Binse lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Raatikainen manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Raatikainen with a couple of short strikes.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jaska Raatikainen will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Binse scores with a kick to the midsection. Binse throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Raatikainen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Binse won't be happy with that. Binse is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Raatikainen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Binse is trying to maintain the position but Raatikainen is very close to passing his half guard. Binse on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Binse wants to get back to full guard. Raatikainen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Binse moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Binse wants to sweep but no luck. Raatikainen with a nice head shot there.

Binse tries to land a sweep but no joy. Binse pulls Raatikainen in close to his closed guard and prevents Raatikainen from doing any damage or advancing position. Raatikainen tries to lock up and control but Binse gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Raatikainen is squirming around, avoiding Binse's attempts to control the action. Binse is landing with some decent strikes but Raatikainen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

And that's the end of the fight! Christopher Binse comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Binse has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
