Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Logan French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Penn misses with a wild combination.

Penn rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and French decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Penn's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Penn being controlled here, momentarily.
French trying to control but Penn is working from the bottom.
French is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Logan French just wasn't active enough.
Penn looks to land a combination but French avoids it well.

Penn tries to bum rush French with a series of wild strikes but French uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

French changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Penn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

French has hold of Penn's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Penn tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - French cranks the arm and Penn screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Penn, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
