Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Whonjon William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Whonjon William enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Angel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Whonjon William!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

William clinches up with Angel and pushes him back against the cage.

Angel has picked William up - he's going for a ride! Angel dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

William makes his way to full guard, as Angel worked for a kimura.
William is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Angel sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed William's guard.
Angel is trying to control. William wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
William manages to get to full guard.

William escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Angel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

William had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Angel defends it easily.

Angel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

William throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Angel escapes and throws William's legs to the side, diving into side control!
William tries to buck Angel off but Angel is having none of it.
William is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Angel off and has taken his back!
Angel tries to escape but William has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
William throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
William connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Angel to escape the position.

Angel is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

William is trying to stick to Angel's back but Angel is turning into William. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in William's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Angel.

Angel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. William tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Angel is in William's guard.

William is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Angel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Angel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Angel is trying to control. William wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

William is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Angel pulls his head out easily.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Angel connects with a nice short shot to William's temple.

William has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Angel is working away from the top position though.
Angel looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Angel is looking to take a break and control but William is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
William is looking for a sweep. Angel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Angel wants to take a breather but William is having none of it.
William is looking to control Angel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can William avoid being mounted?

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

William tries to work over Angel's front leg with a kick but Angel checks it.

William is looking for a sweep. Angel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
William has a hand on Angel's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Angel takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Angel has hold of William's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and William manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frank Angel.
I think Angel has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
