Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Kilpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Mc GInnley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kilpatrick might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nightcall. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Kilpatrick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patrick Mc GInnley!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kilpatrick moves into the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Mc GInnley scores with a nice short uppercut.

Kilpatrick turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
You can see the frustration on Mc GInnley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mc GInnley tries to bench press Kilpatrick off him but Kilpatrick keeps the position.
Kilpatrick happy to just control the position for now.
Mc GInnley is trying to get back to half guard.
Mc GInnley regains half guard.
Kilpatrick has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Mc GInnley works to full guard.

Mc GInnley looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Kilpatrick looking to pass the guard.
Kilpatrick is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Mc GInnley keeping moving, preventing Kilpatrick from controlling successfully.
Mc GInnley is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kilpatrick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mc GInnley swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Adam Kilpatrick has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Mc GInnley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kilpatrick as he jumps to the side.
Kilpatrick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kilpatrick rushes Mc GInnley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Mc GInnley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kilpatrick moves into the clinch.

Kilpatrick jumps into guard, dragging Mc GInnley to the mat.

Mc GInnley drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kilpatrick dives on top into guard.
Kilpatrick will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kilpatrick is pushing down on Mc GInnley's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mc GInnley is fighting to maintain full guard but Kilpatrick has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mc GInnley wants to get back to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kilpatrick seems to be working for a kimura but Mc GInnley defends the submission attempt.

Kilpatrick seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mc GInnley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kilpatrick wants to free his trapped foot but Mc GInnley is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Mc GInnley is staying active underneath Kilpatrick, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Kilpatrick clinches with his opponent.
Mc GInnley is pressed up against the cage. Kilpatrick has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mc GInnley down to the mat. Mc GInnley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Mc GInnley tries to keep at a distance but Kilpatrick has taken the fight into the clinch.

Kilpatrick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mc GInnley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kilpatrick has managed to get both his arms back between Mc GInnley's legs - danger averted.

Kilpatrick drops back looking for a leg! Mc GInnley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mc GInnley manages to kick Kilpatrick off! Kilpatrick jumps back into Mc GInnley's guard.

Mc GInnley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kilpatrick stands and throws Mc GInnley's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Mc GInnley is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Kilpatrick is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kilpatrick seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mc GInnley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Adam Kilpatrick will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Mc GInnley closes the distance and clinches up with Kilpatrick, looking for a takedown. Mc GInnley pushes Kilpatrick against the cage but Kilpatrick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mc GInnley pushes Kilpatrick away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kilpatrick gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Mc GInnley manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Mc GInnley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kilpatrick has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mc GInnley is working away from the top position though.
Kilpatrick wants to improve his position but Mc GInnley is controlling well.

Mc GInnley wants to control but Kilpatrick is keeping him busy.
Kilpatrick on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kilpatrick tries to get out of the position.

Well Kilpatrick has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Adam Kilpatrick very nearly forgot to thank Arcticus amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
