Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Watt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watt has chosen Edmund Fitzgerald as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Alvarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Watt! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvarez misses with a combination
and Watt counters with a slapping leg kick. Alvarez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alvarez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Watt eats them both and turns towards Alvarez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Watt moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Watt looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Watt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alvarez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Watt has managed to get both his arms back between Alvarez's legs - danger averted. Alvarez is looking for a triangle but Watt pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alvarez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Watt avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Watt lands a couple of decent looking shots. Alvarez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Watt controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Alvarez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Watt defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watt gets to his feet - Alvarez follows without any prompting. Alvarez throws a looping overhand right but Watt ducks down to avoid it. Alvarez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Watt is working Alvarez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Alvarez working for a triangle but Watt defends it easily.
Watt gets to his feet. Alvarez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Watt shoots in and gets a takedown into Alvarez's guard. Watt engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watt stands up over Alvarez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Alvarez has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Watt doesn't defend quickly enough and Alvarez has managed to lock this one up! Can Watt escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Alvarez on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ricky Alvarez! Ricky Alvarez took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
