Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Landen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Urai!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Landen moves in looking to clinch but Urai pushes him off.
Landen misses with an attempted mid kick.
The fighters circling - Landen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Landen throws a push kick but Urai slaps the foot to one side.
A head kick from Landen lands but Urai takes it in his stride.


It looks like Sam Urai has been cut.
Urai on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Urai walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Landen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Urai lands a head shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Urai throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Urai slips under a jab.
Urai defending well as Landen loads up on a big left hand.
Paul Landen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Landen just misses with a punch to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Landen misses with a leg kick
and Urai finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Urai ducks under a wild hook from Landen.
Urai fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Landen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Landen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Urai misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Landen.
Urai uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Landen.
Urai darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Landen gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Urai gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Landen is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Urai!
Sam Urai is the new lightweight champion!
During a confident post fight interview, Sam Urai thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
