Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Cranium (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tycoon Killa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Cranium! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tycoon Killa! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Killa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tycoon Killa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Killa scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Cranium tries to get to full guard but Killa has control of the leg. Killa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cranium with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Killa seems to be looking for submissions.
Cranium looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Killa prevents Cranium from improving his position. Cranium makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cranium. Killa trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Cranium wants to get back to his feet but Killa is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cranium tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cranium preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Killa shoots for a takedown but Cranium saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cranium scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Killa tries to roll over but Cranium keeps him under control. Cranium is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Killa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cranium. Killa is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Cranium pulls his head out easily. Killa looks gassed! Killa is trying to control but can't.
Cranium frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Cranium has control of Killa's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Killa regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Cranium looking to secure an arm triangle but Killa defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cranium blocks Killa's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Cranium get's back to his feet. Killa shoots in looking for a takedown. Cranium tries to sprawl out of it but Killa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cranium manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Killa has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. The fight stays on the outside here - Killa looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Killa misses with a combination
and Cranium counters with a single leg into guard. Killa didn't expect that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cranium lands a couple of decent looking shots. Cranium pushes down on Killa's leg and manages to get into half guard. Cranium stands up from half guard. Cranium wants to clinch up but Killa keeps it at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cranium has Killa up against the cage in a clinch.
Cranium has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Killa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Cranium is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Killa gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Killa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cranium circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cranium shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Killa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Cranium. That's going to take a lot out of him. Killa scoring with some ground and pound. Killa pushes down on Cranium's leg and manages to get into half guard. Cranium is pressing down on Killa's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Killa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cranium wants to sweep but no luck. Killa tries to free his leg and advance position but Cranium is retaining full guard. Killa stopping the sweep attempt from Cranium.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Killa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cranium swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cranium is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Killa throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cranium counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Cranium distracts Killa with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Killa landing heel shots to his opponent's back. Cranium not amused, grabs the leg and drops back, looking for a heel hook. Killa doesn't react quick enough and Cranium cranks it - Killa screams in pain and taps out! That was a really quick submission! Impressive stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Richard Cranium!
