Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Kroblur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smith Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black has chosen Who Shot Ya as his entrance music. Smith Black is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Smith Black! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kroblur misses with an uppercut
and Black counters with a takedown into side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kroblur tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Black wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Black is looking to take a break and control but Kroblur is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Black is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kroblur knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Black is trying to get an arm triangle but Kroblur is defending well. Kroblur is looking for a sweep. Black taking a break here but Kroblur is having none of it and regains half guard. Kroblur is pressing down on Black's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kroblur is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Black postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kroblur keeping full guard, as Black tries to pass. Black trying to control but Kroblur is working from the bottom. Kroblur is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. This has been an exciting period of action! Kroblur drops an elbow to the side of Black's head. Black is looking to control Kroblur's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Black avoid being mounted? Kroblur is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Black!

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've been informed that Black has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Kroblur with the ground and pound from mount. That was a close round but I would say that Matt Kroblur will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kroblur with a nice head shot there. Kroblur trying to move into half guard but instead Black has managed to sweep! Black slips nicely into half guard.

Kroblur works his way to full guard. Good work. Black won't allow Kroblur to sweep him here. Black wants to control from the top but Kroblur keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kroblur wants to sweep but no luck. The ref stands the fighters back up because Matt Kroblur just wasn't active enough. Kroblur closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Black quickly recovers to half guard. Kroblur is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Kroblur landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Black is in trouble now - Kroblur has advanced to mount! Black has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Kroblur's lack of action.
Kroblur works his foot free and advances to mount. The referee warns Black that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Matt Kroblur is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Black is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Kroblur's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
