Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, New Fighter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Trey Walsh! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walsh looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Fighter! Fighter is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Walsh is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Walsh is working for a guillotine from mount but Fighter frees his head quite easily.
Walsh with a couple of short strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Fighter is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Walsh working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Fighter wants to control but Walsh is having none of it. Fighter can't escape the position.
Fighter is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Walsh unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Fighter wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Walsh celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
