Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between CM Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Kalaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Kalaway will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, CM Slice! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Kalaway! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalaway wants to clinch so Slice counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Slice has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Slice looking to pass the guard. Slice sitting in guard, not really doing much. Slice gets to his feet. Kalaway looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Kalaway moves to clinch but Slice breaks away letting Slice counter with a right hand. Slice keeps the fight on the outside. Kalaway is looking to clinch. Slice shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Slice really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kalaway looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Slice in particular looking to stall. Kalaway actively working from the bottom here. Kalaway regains full guard. Nicely done. Kalaway working for a triangle but Slice defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kalaway had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Slice defends it easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kalaway is looking to stand up but Slice isn't so interested in that idea. Kalaway preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kalaway looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Slice knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kalaway on the ground. Slice avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kalaway is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Slice is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slice controls from within his opponent's guard. Kalaway has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Slice doesn't defend quickly enough and Kalaway has managed to lock this one up! Can Slice escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kalaway on a fantastic submission victory.
