Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benito Oneil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Rockhound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Benito Oneil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phillip Rockhound! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oneil throws a right and a left that Rockhound avoids nicely. Oneil throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. The fight moves into the clinch position. Oneil throws an elbow but it misses.
Oneil has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rockhound avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Rockhound tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Oneil just stands there and leans against the cage. Oneil breaks from the clinch.
Rockhound throws a series of punches but Oneil moves out of range. Oneil has closed the distance and engaged Rockhound in a clinch.
Rockhound has had enough of the clinch but Oneil keeps him there for the moment. Oneil escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rockhound throws a series of punches but Oneil avoids them all with ease. Rockhound fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Oneil, pushing him back against the cage. Oneil's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockhound tries a head kick but it misses.
Oneil tries to close the distance and clinch but Rockhound swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rockhound falls off balance throwing a combination
and Oneil makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rockhound throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Oneil. Oneil rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rockhound moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rockhound pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rockhound misses with a straight right. A punch combination from Oneil misses. Rockhound throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rockhound wants to clinch. Rockhound will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oneil just misses with a punch to the body.
No luck for Rockhound with that takedown attempt. Rockhound misses with a takedown attempt and Oneil counters with a thumping low kick. Benito Oneil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phillip Rockhound. Rockhound tries to bum rush Oneil with a series of wild strikes but Oneil uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rockhound looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Oneil moves into the clinch. Oneil manages to break the clinch.
Rockhound fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rockhound lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rockhound. Rockhound looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Oneil darts in and clinches Rockhound up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rockhound takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Oneil jumps guard but Rockhound stands there with Oneil around his waist. Oneil gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rockhound breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Oneil has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Benito Oneil has been cut. Oneil throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Oneil looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Oneil tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rockhound was well out of range. Poor timing from Oneil. Oneil blocks a head kick by Rockhound.
Rockhound scores with a one two! Oneil had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rockhound bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Oneil's head backwards. Oneil tries to land a front kick but Rockhound steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Rockhound throws the kick towards the body but Oneil avoids it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Oneil throws a lazy right hand but Rockhound sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Rockhound misses with a jab, cross combination.

Rockhound fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oneil fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rockhound to the ground. Oneil is now in Rockhound's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Oneil stands and steps away. Rockhound gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rockhound fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Oneil checks it well. Rockhound is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A jab lands there for Rockhound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phillip Rockhound dominated that round. The cut man is working on Benito Oneil's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Oneil drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Oneil throws a body punch but Rockhound moves out of range. Rockhound throws a wild body kick that Oneil sees coming a mile off. Rockhound moves into range and clinches up with Oneil. Oneil pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rockhound has his takedown stuffed and Oneil counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Rockhound! Oneil tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Oneil misses with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oneil looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Oneil stands up and beckons Rockhound to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rockhound lands a jab to Oneil's midsection. Oneil blocks a head kick by Rockhound.
Rockhound misses with a body kick. Rockhound fails to land with a series of punches.
Rockhound misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oneil takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Rockhound tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Oneil. Oneil dodges the punch combination from Rockhound.
Rockhound misses with the combination.
Benito Oneil is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rockhound is breathing heavily. Oneil takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

and Oneil counters with a takedown into side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rockhound can do anything to dispel that myth. Oneil has an Americana. Rockhound didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Oneil is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Oneil hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
