Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Martins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martins comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Biggie-Juicy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! John Clark has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Clark! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raul Martins! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martins leaves Clark with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Clark fails with a takedown attempt. Clark darts in looking for a takedown but Martins gets double underhooks and turns Clark into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Clark. That's going to take a lot out of him. Martins tries a body shot but Clark blocks it.
Clark is trying to pull guard but Martins turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Martins presses Clark against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Clark tries to score a body lock takedown but Martins shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Martins lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martins working some nice short punches in the clinch. Martins stops a takedown attempt from Clark.
Martins lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Clark backwards. Martins is pressed up against the cage. Clark has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Martins down to the mat. Martins avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Clark keeps the fight on the outside. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Martins has eaten all the pies!
That's one minute gone in the round. Martins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Clark swats him away and circles back towards the center. Martins tries to clinch but Clark moves away and Clark counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Clark chips away with some ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Martins can do anything to dispel that myth. Martins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Martins can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Clark controls the pace. Clark postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Martins is pulling down on Clark's head. It's preventing any offense from Clark, at least for the moment. Clark trying to control the position from guard on top but Martins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martins trying to keep a closed guard but Clark is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Martins is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Clark misses with a takedown and Martins connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Clark misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Martins clinches with his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clark is trying to drag Martins to the mat but Martins just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Clark drops down looking for an ankle pick but Martins pulls his leg out and moves away.
Martins fails with an attempt to clinch.
Martins wants to clinch up but Clark keeps it at a distance. Martins doesn't manage to clinch there - Clark circles away.
Martins takes the fight into the clinch. Clark's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martins can't find room to land a body shot as Clark controls the action.

Martins is defending well against a takedown attempt. Martins lands a body shot in the clinch.
Martins throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Martins lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Martins lands a hook to the side of the head. Martins scores with a shoulder strike. Martins softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Clark blocks a body shot from Martins. Martins lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Martins misses with a body punch.

Martins digs a right hand underneath Clark's ribcage. Clark let out a lung full of air as it connected. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raul Martins dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Clark avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Martins has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Martins closes the distance and clinches. Clark lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Martins wants to improve his position but Clark is controlling well.
Clark in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Martins tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Clark!
