Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mats Sundin Smit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mats Sundin Smit! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown misses with a takedown attempt - Smit sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Brown jabs at Smit's body. Smit closes the distance but Brown moves to the side and Brown counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Smit tries to close the distance and clinch but Brown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Smit darts in trying to clinch and Brown counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Brown. Smit creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Smit doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smit is fighting off a takedown attempt but Brown is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Smit to the mat. Smit regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Brown won't allow Smit to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown passes into half guard. Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Smit avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Brown. Brown is looking to take a break and control but Smit is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Smit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brown thows a huge punch but Smit dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Smit is looking to escape.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Smit wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance. Smit tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Brown counters with a head kick. Brown shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Smit is trying to defend but Brown finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Brown is looking to take a break and control but Smit is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Brown working the head and body with strikes.

Brown is keen to just control but Smit is a slippery customer. Brown not landing any meaningful shots this time. Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smit keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Brown wants to work for an arm triangle but Smit is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Smit is staying active underneath Brown, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Smit is trying to stand.
Brown trying to control from half guard but Smit is working away. Brown passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Smit! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brown lands with some strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Brown dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Smit tries to clinch up but Brown circles away and keeps his distance. Brown keeps the fight on the outside. Smit tries to clinch but Brown moves out of range. Brown looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Smit stuffs the takedown. Smit displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brown. Smit stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smit has closed the distance and engaged Brown in a clinch.
Brown has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Smit clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Smit is taking damage to the body and head. Brown is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Smit with him. Smit is trying to defend but Brown has an arm under the chin now! Smit grimaces and is forced to tap out!
