Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mountain Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chen Stormstoud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rivera has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Mountain Rivera has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 52 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mountain Rivera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chen Stormstoud! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stormstoud with a poor takedown and Rivera counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Stormstoud looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Rivera working some nice short punches in the clinch. Stormstoud blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Rivera gets control of Stormstoud's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rivera will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Rivera keeping full guard, as Stormstoud tries to pass. Stormstoud is still trying to improve position. Stormstoud advances position into side control! Stormstoud looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Rivera is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Stormstoud's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stormstoud wants to advance to full mount but Rivera doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rivera holds on and takes a little breather. Stormstoud tries to free his leg and advance position but Rivera is retaining full guard. Stormstoud trying to move into half guard but instead Rivera has managed to sweep! Rivera is working Stormstoud over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Rivera sitting in guard, not really doing much. Rivera cracks Stormstoud with a solid left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stormstoud wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Rivera not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Stormstoud working for a triangle but Rivera defends it easily.
Rivera controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Stormstoud looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stormstoud can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rivera controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Mountain Rivera just wasn't active enough. Rivera closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stormstoud's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Stormstoud looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rivera connects with a couple of short punches. Stormstoud working for a triangle but Rivera defends it easily.
Rivera is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Stormstoud manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Stormstoud is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rivera has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rivera! Stormstoud being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stormstoud is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rivera is in close to Stormstoud's body, working some short punches and elbows. Rivera controls from within his opponent's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Stormstoud working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rivera doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rivera manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Stormstoud looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mountain Rivera will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rivera manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stormstoud on his heels. He'll look to pass Stormstoud's guard now, I'm sure. Stormstoud is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rivera avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rivera controlling from the top position. Stormstoud keeping moving, preventing Rivera from controlling successfully. Rivera postures up in Stormstoud's guard and throws a big left but Stormstoud blocks it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Stormstoud wants to sweep here but Rivera controlling him for the moment. Stormstoud manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rivera keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stormstoud moves to the back position. Rivera tries to roll but Stormstoud sticks to his back.

You can see the frustration on Rivera's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Rivera defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Stormstoud's arms. This has been an exciting period of action! Stormstoud looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Rivera is controlling Stormstoud 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rivera controlling from the top position. Stormstoud has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rivera should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Stormstoud has tightened it up now! Rivera should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
