Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carl Maywho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petr Cech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Carl Maywho has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carl Maywho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Petr Cech! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Maywho with that takedown attempt. Maywho fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A head kick misses from Cech. Cech throws a series of punches but Maywho moves out of range. Cech closes the distance and clinches. Cech pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Maywho blocks a head kick by Cech.
Maywho throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Petr Cech has been cut. Cech drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Cech controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Maywho is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Petr Cech has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Horrible takedown attempt by Maywho or perhaps it was just good defense by Cech, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Maywho. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cech looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Cech tries to pass the half guard into mount. Maywho knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Cech seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Maywho does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cech is controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cech trying to pass the guard but Maywho defending well. Maywho regains full guard. Nicely done. Cech throwing strikes but missing. Cech is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Maywho has his foot on Cech's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cech works his way back into a safe position though. Cech loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cech trying to control but Maywho is working from the bottom. Maywho working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cech. Cech is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cech stops Maywho from standing up. Maywho keeping moving, preventing Cech from controlling successfully. Maywho is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Maywho is looking to stand up but Cech isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maywho working for a triangle but Cech defends it easily.
Cech trying to control but Maywho is working from the bottom. Cech drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cech jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cech is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Maywho not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Cech gets a takedown into half guard. Cech controlling the action here. Maywho has hold of Cech's hands but Cech slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Maywho wants to improve his position but Cech is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cech wants to work for an arm triangle but Maywho is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cech is looking to take a break and control but Maywho is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cech wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Maywho, who protects the arm well. Cech in side control, just content to control the action for now. Cech scoring with punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maywho is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Maywho sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Maywho pushes Cech off but Cech dives into side control.
Maywho struggling a bit here. Cech advances nicely into full mount. Maywho really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Cech goes for an armbar but Maywho turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Maywho. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maywho stops Cech from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cech is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Maywho trying to control the position from guard on top but Cech is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Maywho is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Cech is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Maywho is controlling him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cech looking to control.

Petr Cech showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Petr Cech's cut. That's time! Maywho's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Cech looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Petr Cech has got the better of the ground game so far. Maywho working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cech doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cech manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cech is pushing down on Maywho's leg trying to pass to half guard. Maywho is fighting to maintain full guard but Cech has managed to sneak the leg through. Cech passes to side control. Cech working the head with strikes. Cech has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Cech blocks a head kick by Maywho.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cech shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Cech controlling the action here. Cech is keen to just control but Maywho is a slippery customer. Cech sitting and controlling from the half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Maywho wants to control but Cech is keeping busy.
Cech stands up and beckons Maywho to join him on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cech decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Cech is figuring out what he wants to do next. This has been an exciting period of action! Cech sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Maywho defending well though. Maywho is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cech's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cech's back! Maywho is not going to allow Cech to sit and survive in this position. Cech is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Cech wants to control his opponent's hands but Maywho gets his hands free. Maywho misses with punches from the back. Maywho is persistently looking for the submission but Cech is defending it well.

Cech tries to hold on but Maywho postures up. Cech is looking to improve his position but Maywho isn't that keen on the idea. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carl Maywho has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Petr Cech is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Cech keeps trying to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Petr Cech comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cech has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
