Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Meida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Luke Page was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thiago Meida! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luke Page! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meida shoots for a double leg takedown but Page sprawls well. He's pushed Meida's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Page shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Meida napping and manages to drive through into side control! Meida manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Page thows a huge punch but Meida dodges it nicely.
Meida actively working from the bottom here. Meida looking for submissions off his back. Meida looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Meida looking for submissions off his back. Page content to control rather than advance. Meida trying to control but Page postures up.
Meida is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Page pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Page passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Meida! Meida tries to lock up and control but Page gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Page is landing with some decent strikes but Meida is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Page controlling the pace for now. Meida can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Page controlling the position easily from mount. Page prevents Meida from getting the reversal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Meida wants to control but Page is having none of it. Page is working for a guillotine from mount but Meida frees his head quite easily.
Page can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Meida is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Page is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Meida tries to reverse the position but Page maintains control. Meida tries to lock up and control but Page gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. This has been an exciting period of action! Meida is looking to get to half guard. Page can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Meida is looking to escape. Meida is working to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Page cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Page wants to control the pace but Meida is squirming around nicely. Page looking to control and managing it successfully. Meida tries to hold on but Page pushes him away. Meida keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Meida sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Page wants to take a breather but Meida is having none of it. Meida wants to improve his position but Page is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Page performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Luke Page was stalling too much, according to the referee. No luck for Page with that takedown attempt. Meida shoots in but Page avoids the takedown attempt easily. Page shoots in looking for a takedown but Meida manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Page's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Page tries for a takedown but Meida sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Thiago Meida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Page. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Meida fails with the takedown. Page closes the distance and clinches up with Meida, looking for a takedown. Page pushes Meida against the cage but Meida circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Page dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Page shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Meida counters with a shoot takedown. Page fights it but they end up in guard. Meida trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Page is controlling Meida's posture. Meida passes Page's left leg - he's now in half guard. Meida is looking for a kimura here.
Page felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Meida is looking for a kimura here.
Meida is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Meida is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Page looks calm but he's in trouble here. Meida gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Page is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Meida lets go of the hold and Page can pop his arm back in it's socket.
