Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poika misses with a double jab
and Rutten counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Rutten ducks under a wild hook from Poika.
Rutten thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Poika if he has to take too many more of those.
Poika throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rutten lands with an uppercut that bounces Poika off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Meike Poika has been cut.
Rutten connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rutten pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Poika thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rutten steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Poika.
Poika misses with a left hand
and Rutten counters with a straight right hand.
Rutten bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rutten closes the distance and pushes Poika back into the cage.
Poika is trying to break the clinch but Rutten has him pressed against the cage.
We've been hearing reports that Rutten has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Rutten lands a hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Poika wants to break free but Rutten has control.
Rutten taking a breather.
Nice body punch from Rutten - that landed with a thud.

Poika is trying to force a seperation but Rutten has the dominant position.
Poika looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Rutten cracks Poika with a nice body shot.
Rutten breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rutten moves out of range of the strikes.
Poika drops his hands momentarily and Rutten needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Poika just on the top of the head. Poika drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Poika - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Sebastiaan Rutten!
