Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between West Rockford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudy Pu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockford comes to the cage accompanied by Latino N Proud by DJ Raff. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, West Rockford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rudy Pu!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockford misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rockford drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Danga de danga de dang - Pu scores with a four punch combination!
The fighters circle momentarily. Pu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Pu's coach down at Bruize Brothers was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pu's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pu lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Rockford looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pu is fending him off so far but Rockford persists. Nope, Pu circles away and we're back to standing.

Pu blocks a jab.
Pu circles away from the clinch attempt
and Rockford takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rockford is rocked!
Rockford walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Rockford limp body while Pu jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rudy Pu!
In his post fight interview, Rudy Pu started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
