Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Prince Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Van Brick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Prince Bowman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rafael Van Brick!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Van Brick is trying to force a seperation but Bowman has the dominant position.
Bowman keeps control of Van Brick as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Van Brick is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Bowman stalling the fight.

Bowman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Van Brick wants to control but Bowman postures up.
Van Brick is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Bowman is staying active.

Bowman tries for a kimura but Van Brick is defending well.

Bowman tries to score with some ground and pound. Van Brick controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Van Brick throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Bowman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bowman creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Van Brick can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bowman has control of an arm but Van Brick manages to advance to Bowman's back!

Van Brick is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bowman has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Van Brick is trying to stick to Bowman's back but Bowman is turning into Van Brick. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Van Brick's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bowman.

Bowman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Bowman stands and steps away. Van Brick gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Van Brick closes the distance and clinches.
Van Brick tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bowman just stands there and leans against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Bowman - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Van Brick trying to control the position but instead, Bowman has worked for underhooks and has pushed Van Brick into the cage.
Van Brick jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bowman walks away with a smile on his face. Van Brick gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Prince Bowman will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Van Brick goes for a double leg but Bowman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bowman continues to drive forward.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Van Brick tries to control but Bowman manages to take his back.

Van Brick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bowman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Van Brick covers up after that shot from Bowman.

Bowman is hanging on to Van Brick's back as he tries to escape.

Bowman lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Prince Bowman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Can Van Brick hold on?! Bowman is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Van Brick is taking damage to the body and head.
Bowman punishes Van Brick with strikes from the back mount.
Van Brick rolls, trying to escape but Bowman keeps control of the position.

Van Brick is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bowman gets his way!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Bowman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Van Brick jumps guard but Bowman stands there with Van Brick around his waist. Van Brick gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bowman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bowman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bowman postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Bowman lands an elbow.

Bowman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Van Brick is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Van Brick is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Prince Bowman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bowman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
