Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Paris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anderson Silva! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paris tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch. We've been hearing reports that Paris has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Silva lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A right hand to the body from Silva.
Silva lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

It looks like Craig Paris has been cut. Silva lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Paris backwards. Still in the clinch, Silva scores with a nice short uppercut.
Paris lands a takedown into guard.
Paris trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva controls Paris momentarily but Paris frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Paris tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is looking to regain half guard here but Paris keeps moving and retains side control. Silva struggling a bit here. Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Paris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Paris has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Silva is trying to keep an underhook but Paris manages to get the takedown into half guard.
