The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith drives through with a takedown into guard.
Free trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Smith stopping the sweep attempt from Free.
Free is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Free is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Free is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Free prevents Smith from standing back up.
Free is trying to control the action in half guard but Smith is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Free works his way into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith tries to improve position but can't.

Free misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Free jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Smith manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Smith is looking for a sweep.

Free in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Smith is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
