Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Masa Wasa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 47 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, All or Nothing! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wasa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nothing looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Nothing defending against the ground and pound. Wasa has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Wasa looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Wasa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nothing has escaped the position, nice work there. Wasa in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Nothing is trying to get back to half guard. Wasa tries for a kimura but Nothing is defending well. Wasa swings around for an armbar but Nothing sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Wasa's guard.

Wasa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wasa is working an open guard so Nothing takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Masa Wasa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wasa misses with a double jab
and Nothing counters with a stiff right hand. Wasa throws a combination that misses and Nothing counters by moving into the clinch. Nothing has Wasa pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Nothing pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Wasa tumbling to the mat - Nothing dives into Wasa's guard. Wasa looking for a sweep. Not yet Wasa, not yet. Nothing must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Wasa swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nothing is stalling in the full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wasa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nothing doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nothing manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nothing pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wasa is keeping the position for now. Wasa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nothing defends well.

I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Wasa tries to bench press Nothing off him but Nothing keeps the position. Nothing in side control, just content to control the action for now. Wasa manages to get back to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wasa actively working from the bottom here. That was a close round but I would say that Masa Wasa will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Nothing controlling the position. Wasa wants to control from the top but Nothing keeps moving. Nothing tries to land a sweep but no joy. Nothing lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Nothing pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wasa is keeping the position for now. Wasa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nothing defends well.

Nothing slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Wasa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nothing can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nothing avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Nothing's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wasa wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nothing, who protects the arm well. Wasa is trying to get an arm triangle but Nothing is defending well. Nothing is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Wasa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nothing knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Wasa goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Nothing has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wasa but great work by Nothing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wasa is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Nothing's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Nothing sitting and controlling from the half guard. Masa Wasa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wasa has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Nothing escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Nothing! A lull in the action here as Nothing stalls from top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wasa is looking for a sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nothing looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nothing!
