Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hans De Vries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Skyshriek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Vries comes into the arena with Duke Lion blaring out of the sound system. Skyshriek comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Beatles - A Hard Day's Night kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Vries looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

De Vries throws a head kick but Skyshriek moves out of range.

and Skyshriek counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Skyshriek shoots in looking for a takedown but De Vries manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Skyshriek's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Skyshriek throws a low kick but De Vries avoids it.

De Vries attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Skyshriek avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
De Vries throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Skyshriek lands a nice leg kick that just misses De Vries's sensitive parts.
Skyshriek takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
De Vries lands with an overhand left.

and Skyshriek counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Skyshriek drives through with a takedown into guard.
Skyshriek working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Skyshriek forces his way into half guard.
De Vries is controlling Skyshriek's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Skyshriek thows an elbow strike that misses. De Vries gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Skyshriek doesn't seem too bothered but De Vries quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Skyshriek is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Skyshriek really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
