Ernst tightens his grip and picks Thiago up, before dumping him to the ground. Thiago manages to land in guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Thiago has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ernst can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ernst passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Thiago sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Thiago fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ernst, pushing him back against the cage.

Ernst creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Thiago's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Thiago drops to his knees and Ernst pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
