Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Londinian Byzan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Trap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Byzan comes to the cage accompanied by Duane Eddy - Rebel Rouser. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Londinian Byzan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Trap!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Trap is defended easily by Byzan.
Trap shoots in for a takedown but Byzan shows good takedown defense.

Londinian Byzan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Trap.

Trap shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Byzan but Byzan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Trap enables Byzan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Trap manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Trap darts in looking for a takedown but Byzan gets double underhooks and turns Trap into the cage.

Byzan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Trap can't fight it off and eventually Byzan manages to take the fight to the floor. Trap looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trap can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Londinian Byzan.

Londinian Byzan showed his dominance in that final round.
