Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Bowie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Ping (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ping has chosen Open Hapiness as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Bowie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pierre Ping! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bowie tries for a takedown but Ping sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bowie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ping controls Bowie momentarily but Bowie frees himself. Ping is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Let's hope that Ping has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Bowie trying to control the position from guard on top but Ping is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ping tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bowie looking to pass the guard. Ping working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bowie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bowie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bowie could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ping wants to stand and escape but Bowie is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bowie trying to control but Ping is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Ping darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bowie is positioning himself well to prevent Ping advancing to mount. Ping is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Ping wants to take a breather but Bowie is having none of it. Ping looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ping prevents Bowie from improving his position. Bowie wants to get back to full guard but Ping has mounted him! Bowie reaches up to try and control the position but Ping seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Bowie rolls and tries to escape and now Ping has his back!
Bowie breaks Ping's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Bowie controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bowie trying to control but Ping is working from the bottom. Ping is trying to control the position but Bowie postures up. Bowie wants to control from the top but Ping keeps moving. Ping is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bowie has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ping looking for a sweep. Not yet Ping, not yet. Bowie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bowie trying to control but Ping is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Ping looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ping tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bowie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Ping is trying to control the action in half guard but Bowie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bowie is controlling Ping's position as best he can from this difficult position. Bowie trying to control here.

Bowie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ping! Bowie seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Ping is holding on tight.
Bowie controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Pierre Ping will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Ping doesn't manage to clinch there - Bowie circles away.
Ping wants to clinch up but Bowie keeps it at a distance. Bowie misses with a takedown attempt - Ping sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ping shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bowie counters by clinching up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bowie throws a knee to the head but misses.
Ping gets control of Bowie's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ping will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Bowie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ping swivels though and keeps the full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bowie is sitting in close to Ping's body. Ping has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Bowie is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Bowie is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Ping.
