Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aubrey Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Elves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elves has chosen Seether - Remedy as his entrance music. Ryan Elves will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aubrey Vasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Elves! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elves throws a head kick but Vasquez moves out of range.
Elves misses with a head kick.
Elves has managed to clinch.
Vasquez is trying to pull guard but Elves turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Vasquez jumps guard but Elves turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Vasquez tries to pull guard but Elves won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aubrey Vasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Elves manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Vasquez wants to control from the top but Elves keeps moving. Elves is pulling down on Vasquez's head. It's preventing any offense from Vasquez, at least for the moment. Vasquez passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Elves is looking to escape. Elves is doing well to control the position and prevent Vasquez from advancing to side control. Elves's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Elves gets full guard. Elves had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vasquez defends it easily. Vasquez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Vasquez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Elves is proving hard to escape from. Elves wants to sweep here but Vasquez controlling him for the moment. Vasquez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Elves is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vasquez is aware though and is defending well. Elves has Vasquez pulled in close to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasquez won't allow Elves to sweep him here. Vasquez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Elves on the ground. Vasquez throws a big elbow that misses. Elves punching from the bottom - just letting Vasquez know he's still in a fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Elves trying to strike off his back.
Elves is trying to control the position but Vasquez postures up. Vasquez won't allow Elves to get back to his feet. Elves working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vasquez. Elves wants to sweep but no luck. Vasquez prevents Elves from getting back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Elves is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Elves has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Vasquez wants to stand but Elves has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasquez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ryan Elves. Elves throws a shot from downtown. Vasquez moves away and avoids it. Elves is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vasquez's half guard. Vasquez wants to get back to full guard. Still in half guard, Elves seems content to control. Vasquez trying to control from the bottom.
Elves tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Still in half guard, Elves seems content to control. Let's hope that Elves has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ryan Elves was stalling too much, according to the referee. Elves leaves Vasquez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Elves throws a combination that misses and Vasquez counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Vasquez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Vasquez pulls guard successfully.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vasquez working a defensive guard here.
Elves postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Elves is stalling in the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vasquez has an active guard here but Elves has managed to pass into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Elves dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Vasquez shoots and misses and Elves counters by moving into the clinch. Elves pulls Vasquez into guard.
Vasquez throws a strike but Elves rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Elves slips nicely into half guard. Elves is controlling the pace.
Elves throwing shots but Vasquez is blocking nicely. Elves tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vasquez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elves controlling the action here. Vasquez won't allow Elves to pass to mount. Vasquez is trying to control but Elves passes into side control!
Vasquez is being controlled here. Vasquez struggling a bit here. Vasquez is being controlled here. Vasquez controls the position for a moment. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Vasquez trying to remain calm as Elves controls from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elves tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Elves has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Elves gets to mount! Vasquez was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Elves is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Vasquez is in all sorts of trouble here.
Elves takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Elves has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Vasquez's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Elves is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Vasquez taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Elves.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ryan Elves! A very excited looking Ryan Elves rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
