Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darwin Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Velas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darwin Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antonio Velas! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A decent looking cross lands there for Velas. No joy there for Velas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fighters circle momentarily. Velas darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Some wild striking there from Velas.
A right-left combo lands from Velas. Velas scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Velas scores with a one two! Kane had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Some wild striking there from Velas.
Velas misses with a double jab.
Velas throws a right hand that Kane ducks under and follows up with a left that Kane also avoids with ease. Velas throws a series of punches but Kane moves out of range. Kane avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Velas throws a combination that misses and Kane counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kane. Kane has Velas pressed against the cage, preventing Velas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Velas throws a combination that misses and Kane counters with a nice double leg into guard. Kane is pushing down on Velas's leg trying to pass to half guard. Velas is fighting to maintain full guard but Kane has managed to sneak the leg through. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kane lands a nice short elbow. Kane lands strikes from half guard.

Kane takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Kane has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kane takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've been informed that Velas has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Kane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Velas wants to control but Kane passes into side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Darwin Kane will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Antonio Velas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Velas throws a nice looking combination but Kane bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Darwin Kane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Velas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kane circles away quickly and effectively. Velas misses with a few strikes there.

Kane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Velas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kane lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kane scoring with some ground and pound. Velas is looking to sweep but instead, Kane has passed into half guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kane cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Velas is pushing Kane up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Velas is trying to force a seperation but Kane has the dominant position. Kane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
