PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lemmy MacLean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddie Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacLean comes into the arena with Another One Bites The Dust blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Storm's choice of entrance music: Open Hapiness. Lemmy MacLean has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Lemmy MacLean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Freddie Storm!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLean throws out a leg kick but Storm moves out of range and MacLean only half commits.
Storm doesn't manage to clinch there - MacLean circles away.
Storm scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
MacLean fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Storm manages to avoid it.
Storm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. MacLean tries to avoid it but Storm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag MacLean to the ground. MacLean escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A punch combination from Storm misses.
Storm closes the distance and clinches up with MacLean, looking for a takedown. Storm pushes MacLean against the cage but MacLean circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
MacLean circles away from the clinch attempt.

MacLean scores with a nice right hand.


It looks like Freddie Storm has been cut.
MacLean throws a combination that misses

and Storm decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in MacLean's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

MacLean uses the cage to get back to his feet.
A jab lands there for MacLean.

Storm closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Storm lands in his opponent's guard.
MacLean wants to get back to his feet but Storm is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

MacLean kicks Storm off and gets to his feet.
Storm tries to move into range but MacLean moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Storm shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
MacLean could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Storm looks gassed!
MacLean wants to stand and escape but Storm is having none of it.
Storm being controlled here momentarily.
MacLean on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if MacLean tries to get out of the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

MacLean bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Storm's guard.

MacLean stands and steps away. Storm gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
MacLean misses with a few strikes there.
Storm throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Storm takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Storm avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Storm fakes a jab and throws a low kick but MacLean checks it well.
A right-left combo lands from MacLean.
MacLean scores with a jab. Storm acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Are you kidding me?! MacLean ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Storm clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lemmy MacLean!
