Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Lupstik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Wood!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Lupstik!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupstik keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Wood keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lupstik uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wood.
Wood throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wood tries a head kick but it misses.
Wood looks to land a right hand but Lupstik moved out of range.

Lupstik shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wood's guard.

Wood is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lupstik passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Lupstik tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Wood manages to get back to half guard.

Lupstik is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wood is just riding it out for now. Lupstik eventually gives up the hold.
Lupstik should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Lupstik is working for a kimura here but Wood manages to reverse the position and he's now in Lupstik's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wood wants to control the pace but Lupstik is squirming around nicely.
Lupstik takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Wood throws a right and a left that Lupstik avoids nicely.
Lupstik fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Wood misses with a body kick.
Lupstik with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Wood to score with a decent uppercut.
Wood tries to land a front kick but Lupstik steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Lupstik takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
George Wood is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wood cracks Lupstik on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Lupstik falls backwards against the cage. Wood follows up with more strikes that drop Lupstik to his knees. Wood keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Lupstik! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Wood!
