Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul McCracken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 18 - 2, fighting out of New York, Klas Ondahl!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCracken rushes Ondahl and presses him up against the cage.
McCracken tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ondahl's elbow.
McCracken is trying to break the clinch but Ondahl has him pressed against the cage.
McCracken is pushing Ondahl up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
McCracken misses with a shot to the kidneys.
McCracken is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
McCracken is trying to break free.

I was talking to McCracken's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Ondahl blocks the elbow strike.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ondahl has McCracken pressed against the cage.
The referee calls for McCracken to work.
Ondahl told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

McCracken has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ondahl uses from the top position.
Ondahl would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCracken wants to sweep but no luck.

Ondahl decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McCracken, up you get!

McCracken thows a body kick. Ondahl tries to catch it but that hurt him.
McCracken rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ondahl moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ondahl needs to keep his hands up - McCracken had a free shot at his head there.

Ondahl plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as McCracken takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Ondahl shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Paul McCracken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McCracken lands a big uppercut and Ondahl crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ondahl looks OK. McCracken waves Ondahl back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from McCracken! This one is all over!

Paul McCracken decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
