27 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maciej Dobrzynski! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Johnson. Dobrzynski misses the shot to the body. Johnson takes one on the button. Dobrzynski misses with a jab, cross combination.
A nice combination there by Dobrzynski.
Dobrzynski shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Some bone on bone action there as Dobrzynski checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Dobrzynski tests Johnson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Dobrzynski will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dobrzynski takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Dobrzynski gets the takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson regains half guard there - taking advantage of Dobrzynski's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Dobrzynski tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Johnson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Dobrzynski throws a right and a left that both miss. Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Dobrzynski. Johnson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Johnson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. A jab from Dobrzynski misses.

Johnson feints and then cracks Dobrzynski's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dobrzynski down. Johnson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dobrzynski's calf. Dobrzynski takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Dobrzynski looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Johnson! Both fighters take a look at the clock. Dobrzynski throws a strike aimed at the side of Johnson's head but Johnson avoids it well. Johnson is looking for a sweep. Johnson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dobrzynski. Dobrzynski has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Johnson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice straight punches there by Johnson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Johnson.
