The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waldbauer tries to bum rush Baptiste Reno with a series of wild strikes but Baptiste Reno uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Waldbauer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Baptiste Reno but Baptiste Reno pushes him off and we're back to square one. Baptiste Reno swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A lazy left from Waldbauer finds it's target. Waldbauer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Waldbauer. Those never looked like landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waldbauer looks to throw the jab but Baptiste Reno is out of range. Horrible takedown attempt by Waldbauer or perhaps it was just good defense by Baptiste Reno, which made it look bad. Baptiste Reno looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Baptiste Reno closes the distance and pushes Waldbauer back into the cage. Baptiste Reno is trying to drag Waldbauer to the mat but Waldbauer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Waldbauer wants to break free but Baptiste Reno has control.
Baptiste Reno jumps guard but Waldbauer stands there with Baptiste Reno around his waist. Baptiste Reno gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Baptiste Reno is trying to maintain the position but Waldbauer is very close to passing his half guard. Waldbauer missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Waldbauer is looking to land body kicks. Waldbauer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
