The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santoro shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jonas defends it nicely.
Santoro takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jonas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jonas works Santoro's body with a nice hook.
Jonas cracks Santoro with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Santoro is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jonas.
Jonas scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jonas is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Santoro misses with a double jab
and Jonas counters with a left to the body.
Santoro takes one on the chin but seems OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jonas stuffs the takedown attempt from Santoro. Santoro gets slowly back to his feet.
Jonas scores with a decent looking hook.
Santoro is rocked!
Jonas connects with a body shot.
Santoro misses with a combination
and Jonas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Santoro thinking.

Santoro gets the takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Jonas is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Santoro's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Jonas regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Santoro.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santoro throws a sloppy strike and Jonas has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Santoro is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Jonas!

A relieved looking Edson Jonas thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
