Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Choo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Jimerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimerson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Call of Ktulhu. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Choo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joey Jimerson! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Choo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jimerson! Choo is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jimerson is surviving well by controlling Choo's body position as best he can. Choo controlling his opponent. Jimerson is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Choo controlling from mount. Jimerson is looking to improve his position but Choo isn't that keen on the idea. Choo controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Choo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jimerson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Choo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choo controlling from the full mount. Jimerson gets back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Choo is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jimerson! Choo moves to the back position. Choo wants to control but Jimerson is keeping busy. Choo controlling the position well here. Jimerson rolled but Choo kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Daniel Choo just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Jimerson scores with a push kick. Jimerson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Choo dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Crunch! Choo slams his shin into Jimerson's torso. Jimerson fails in his attempt to clinch. Joey Jimerson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jimerson with a poor takedown so Choo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jimerson keeping full guard, as Choo tries to pass. Choo sitting in guard here, content to control. Choo works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jimerson is breathing heavily. Choo trying to mount his opponent but Jimerson defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Choo moves into full mount! Jimerson won't be happy about that! Choo controlling his opponent. Jimerson gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Choo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Choo thowing shots but they're missing. Jimerson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Choo.
Choo is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jimerson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jimerson!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jimerson won't allow Choo to sweep him here. Choo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Choo is striking off his back. Jimerson thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Choo flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Choo gets back to full guard.
Choo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jimerson is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Choo dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Choo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Choo is figuring out what he wants to do next. Choo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round. Choo sitting and controlling from the half guard. Choo works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jimerson blocking the ground and pound. Choo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jimerson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jimerson and Choo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Choo slows the pace down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choo is looking to take a break and control but Jimerson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Choo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jimerson has escaped the position, nice work there. Daniel Choo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Choo trying to control the position but Jimerson is working away. Joey Jimerson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Choo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jimerson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Choo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jimerson for as long as he can get away with. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Choo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Choo showed his dominance in that final round. Well Choo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
