Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Badri Dadiani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carter Madison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Madison's choice of entrance music: Heaven Nor Hell. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carter Madison!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madison shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Dadiani counters with a takedown into side control.
Madison regains half guard.
Dadiani thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Madison's head.

Madison is not content to let Dadiani control the position.

Madison is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dadiani's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dadiani's back!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dadiani is working hard here to advance position.
Despite being in a bad position, Dadiani is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts.
Madison tries to keep control of the position but Dadiani is staying busy.

Madison seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Dadiani's chin but Dadiani turns very nicely into Madison's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Dadiani.

That was a close round but I would say that Badri Dadiani will probably get the nod.

The crowd cheers as Dadiani lands an impressive looking overhand right. Madison doesn't seem phased though.

You can see the frustration on Madison's face as Dadiani controls the position.

Dadiani content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dadiani wants to control from the top but Madison keeps moving.
Dadiani has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Madison tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dadiani defends well and Madison ends up having to push Dadiani into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Badri Dadiani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carter Madison.
Dadiani has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Madison is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Madison tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dadiani smiles and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Madison takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Dadiani feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Madisons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Madison swings for the body but Dadiani moves out of range.

Dadiani throws a looping overhand right but Madison ducks down to avoid it.
Nice uppercut lands for Dadiani. That snapped Madison's head back.

Madison closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dadiani circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dadiani is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Madison can do to turn this around?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dadiani is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Madison or perhaps it was just good defense by Dadiani, which made it look bad.

Well Dadiani has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
